Re: advice on struts

excellent info, thanks for that. Koni may just be the ticket for me, assuming that they won't break the bank

Now the question is are the original springs in need of replacement...I'm a very mellow driver with occasional "spirited" driving. I'll start another thread asking folks their height measurements just to get an idea if mine are sagging or not.

Re: advice on struts

Is koni the only choice for aftermarket struts for the svx? Dealer in VT quoted me 160-170 apiece for new oem ones - high but one of only a few options. any other suggestions out there vice the koni inserts?

I think Tom & Mike will sell you just the inserts. Also try Dale at Motorsport Warehouse.

There are a few others. Koni may have links on their webstite.

I think they are the only option.

Not sure if Mychailo is still selling them. He took a sabbatical from it for a while. That's where I got mine.

The inserts are special order from Koni with a minimum buy in.

Classic Garage has them & shows the part numbers. They go on sale periodically.

Re: advice on struts

Yeah neither OEM or Koni are cheap, but neither is the labour to put them in. Unless you do it yourself.

That makes the Koni a better buy in my book.

Sometimes you can get a better price if you talk to the guys in person.

Re: advice on struts

Does anyone have the actual part #s off the koni inserts? I want to keep an eye out on the 'net in case someone sells them by listing part numbers and not application.

thanks much.
