Level ten transmission?

Who has one?

My transmission, which i bought about 5 years ago for $100 and rebuilt for 300 has finally died. I can't rebuild it again because the front diff is trashed, so I am thinking about a level 10 complete transmission. Does anyone have one and care to comment on what they think of it?
I can get a factory reman for 2900, level ten looks to cost about 4k.

Thumbs up Re: Level ten transmission?

Levelten are amongst the best trans guys in the world. I am very happy with the work they have done for me.

My Levelten transmission was really sweet. But it failed after the warranty ran out (I didn't add a extra cooler) and they still offered to fix it for free. I didn't want to ship the trans to the USA again, so they sent me a free rebuild kit for my local shop to install. But the local shop did not do such a good job and it's never been as good as it was when Levelten did it.

Even if you don't get the work done by them, use the Levelten rebuild kit. The Levelten rebuild kit seems to be a Transtec rebuild kit, but they throw out the Transtec Clutches and replace them with stronger Raybestos Blue Clutches.

Re: Level ten transmission?

I wished there was a kit that you can purchase form Level 10 and just plug it in your OEM tranny according to instructions.

There is a kit. But I reckon you probably need a lot of skill, luck and probably a few special tools to plug it in yourself and have it work properly.
