Power Steering pump is gone...

Hey buddy I'm about 80% sure I know why your car is squealing. If you did what I did when I first changed the power steering belt I accidentally put the bottom pully on the reverse side and thus was not able to tighten it correctly so the pully did not move with the belt and this caused it to SCREAM and I mean scream and squeal loud. Check to make sure your pully is rotating, then make sure you didn't tighten the belt too tight,(where it has no give what-so-ever.)

As for my situation, its not the ring, the pump is completely shot. It makes no noise as I've replaced about everything I could replace but the pump itself, I just have no power steering and its hard as hell to turn :P

So I FINALLY went out and checked things out... And the belt was quite loose. So I tightened it down quite a bit, and started it on a cold start and not one squeal. Then the big test, hard over the wheel... and no squeal! Hey I rhymed, lol. So I hope my problem is solved!
