Subaru of America Rear Wheel Bearing Warranty
SOA has finally decided to stand behind a rear wheel bearing underdesign flaw.
2005-6 Outback wagons seem to be suffering a similar plight to our SVXi and, perhaps having learned a lesson from our vocal distress over the years, they are offering to cover the failures by extending the bearing warranty to 8 years/ 100,000 miles: http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/...=Wheel+Bearing Christian |

I think this is a problem that has plagued Subaru for years. I had a low-mileage left rear wheel bearing failure on a new, under-warranty, 1990 Legacy. One might think they'd have come up with a remedy by now.
