Need some help
After replacing tranny with one from 91-94 turbo Legacy (4eat) I found the valve cover leaking big time, so I swaped the engine back out and return the one that came in the car (92 svx LSi). Aside from the tranny only other MODS are two coolers (tranny/oil), when I tried to start it found starter needed to be replaced (did that and car started). It rews 2k to 3k and then drops to about 1200 and sounds like its going to cut out, can anyone help with this? Car has sat for months with out the battery.
Thanks for reading this, any thing that may help i'll give a try. svxman Michael

As the car has not been running for some time, the By-Pass Air Control Valve, (Idle Air Control Valve) could be seized up and require cleaning. There have been recent posts on the subject and a search should provide data.

Thanks Trevor
It Did Help A Lot, I Cleaned The Iac Valve, But Also Had To Adjust The Cables And Now Have The Idle At About 750 Or So.
