Sunroof problem
I used the search function and did not find an answer I was looking for.
Okay..today is 60 degrees, perfect for running around with the sunroof open. It was working perfectly and all of a sudden I went to close it, but it gets to the point where it is supposed to slide into something and merge with the roof itself, but it's stopping and staying in the open position. Help me please.

I'm such a Massengill.
Okay...I had my Kimi sit in the car pushing the buttons. I noticed that the DS wanted to continue, but the PS was getting hung up. I believe in the past I posted about this problem  Anywho, there's that little tabular hook thinger that is supposed to slide into the plastic (looking for a word) ummm...thinger. Anyway it is catching on the thinger. I thought maybe I can push it and all would be fine, but it seems to be a continual problem so....I got a flat head screwdriver and tried to push it...won't move the way I want BUT I did notice...my whole roof panel moves sideways. I don't think it is supposed to do that, but I'm new to these cars so maybe it's supposed to. Can someone enlighten me on this because I'd hate to have to keep getting out to poke my thinger.

That SOOOOO didn't sound right!
 I'll take a gander at my SVX tomorrow (it's dark now & I'm skeerd) to ID the "thingers" & see if I can help ya out.

Sorry, it didn't sound pervy when I typed it
 Anyway...I'm not very good at MS paint, but I did my best to clarify the subject.  Thinger 1 is part of the sunroof panel and Thinger 2 is part of the body itself.

Check THIS THREAD I had the same problem with Pete's 92 Pearlie and svxcuseme gave me the answer. It was a small modification to the plastic "thinger" (using what else but a Dremel  ). I did the mod to both sides and he hasn't had a problem since.Hope this helps. .

John thank you for that link. I will indeed use it. The other question was...which may be the answer to why it is doing it in the first place is...is the roof panel supposed to shift (even a slight bit) left to right?
