Possible Cheap Autodim mirror Mode???

Found a autodim rear view mirror out of a 95 Infiniti J30. Looks like its got the same mounting braket as the 96 outback. I have not yet to see if it will fit the mounting hole in our svx.
Anyone here know any other way to get a autodim mirror cheaply???

I don't know how to get one cheap, but I do know that I envy the autodimmer in the wife's XT. It really is one of the cooler inventions to come to cars.

I bought one brand new for a Subaru Forester and installed it in my SVX for under $100. I think it looks great and I'm very pleased I installed it.

I made a bracket to mount mine, but it would be better if it was mounted to the window. It vibrates a little to much for me.

AFB, get a rubber grommmet & put between your mount & windshield. Make it a couple mm thicker than the current gap, then push it between the two. You'd be amazed at how much that will quell the vibes.

The mirror is in no way connected to the the window. Its connected to the head liner.

I noticed that AFB

I meant that if you put in that "bushing" the piece your mirror is mounted to won't vibrate as bad
