Code 34, bad EGR solenoid/valve

Pulled my code today, guess this could explain my hesitations and lack of power. It's most likely stuck open from carbon buildup, any pointers on ripping it out for a brake cleaner spraydown? Any other thoughts/opinions?

its a solenoid not the EGR malfunctioning. You should make sure it is plugged in first. Then test it with an ohmmeter. then decide whether or not to replace it.

Where does it plug in, and why would it be unplugged.. (unless you did it on accident or something)

its on the underside of the intake manifold... Check on the bottom side of the hood for your vaccum diagram to locate it. I did not touch it but it would be awful silly to replace it if it were merely unplugged... ya follow?

That diagram doesn't help at all.. I got under the car and didn't see anything unplugged or dangling, just a whole bunch of leaking oil coming from the front of the engine. Sigh.
I'm just going to pay my buddy to replace it, he works for peanuts and does a good job.
