Brakes, Rotors, Bearings
YEAH BOI!
Alrighty guise, I bought this car knowing this day would come, and now that I'm up on funds, it's time to get to it. Mah SVX needs 3 things to be totally perfect; all new brake rotors all new pads all new wheel bearings Now, so far I've found cheap OEM style kits on habeebay that have F/R rotors with matching pads. But I'm having a hard time finding where I can get bearings. I found 'em on some random ass SVX store hosted on a Yahoo account (about as trust worthy as a van with "FREE CANDY" spray painted on the side) My other question is, assuming I have no idea what I'm doing, what kind of time frame am I looking at here? I've got a subaru master mechanic for a room mate, but he doesn't know much about the SVX (he spent a whole DAY trying to convince me some old legacy wheels we had laying around would bolt right on) But I'm pretty handy with tools, and I'm willing to get my feet wet. Thanks in advance, -Keyes

the brakes shouldnt take you too long.. on first try i would give your self about 2 hours for those and about 6 hours for the wheel bearings due to the fact that you have to go and get them pressed out and pressed back in

But yeah, I've been told brakes are easy as long as you know what a metric set it. Did I mention I have an arsenal of pneumatic tools at my disposal? (room mate works at Uhaul, I used to work there, tools are free to use as long as they don't need them at the time)

Have your roommate bring home the front end repair kit that will help in removing the hubs/bearings from the car.
