Brakes

I just got an SVX. I would like to put some after market brakes on it. I would like to use Brembo brakes. Do you know if there is a kit that will work with the SVX? If I cant go with Brembo what is the best brake kit for the SVX? Do you have any other good ideas?

Thx SVXtasy

Try doing a search. There are all kinds of brake upgrades that have been done and outlined in detail. Each seems to have benefits and drawbacks. See which one is best for your application.

Exclamation about dem brakes

SVXtasy-

Creative member name.....I like it.

N-e-wayz.....I don't know much about performance brakes and such, but I do know the stock rotors on the SVX overheat too easily. I've already had mine machined only after about 9,000 miles from being brand new. So if you are really looking to upgrade your braking system... I'd start at the rotors. Try finding some ones that are cross-drilled and all that fancy stuff... which will keep the rotors from heating up and warping. A lotta effort and money will give trouble free brakes & rotors. I wish I had the money to upgrade the brakes and rotors...... cuz warping comes to my mind everytime I put the brakes on.

Have you registered your car on SubaruSVX.org? There is an announcement about rotors and pads being available at a reduced price through them. The link to the site is included. Good luck.
