Chitlin/Hanes SVX Manual?

Anyone have one or know where to get one or which one is better?

There's no Chilton's or Haynes manual specifically for the SVX. There is a Chilton's manual that covers all 1985-1997 Subarus with some basic SVX information, but only Subaru SVX factory manuals are comprehensive, and they're not cheap.

Bah, 'nuf of the silliness...

It's possible to snag the service manuals on a CD on eBay. I'm under the impression that they're quite complete, with a nice search function, plenty of detailed pictures, and every bolt and circuit you'll find in the SVX of the production year you choose.

I just get this feeling that that's exactly how it goes.

I downloaded a bunch of PDF files from someone's website, but I can't remember who's.

My silver SVX came with a clean Chilton's in the trunk, and while I've hardly read it cover to cover, I'd say basic is about right.

I think the Chilton manual sucks, but then again I'm no mechanic so I need pictures (of an SVX not some forester or impreza) and more than just "basic" details.
