you need to update your media player. are you running version 11 or 10? I had alot of problems with version 10 not showing video and version 11 fixed it. Also might just be a codec problem but media player alot of times is not real user friendly on telling you which codec you need to update. give version 11 a try or if you have another media player like nero or something that might work.

A short but nice segment. They had good things to say about it. I didn't realise that you got 4WS in the UK?? Is it a members car??

It's funny that she starts on the Pontiac by laughing and saying that "This is a joke of a car"
For some sort of a car "show", I can't believe the owner is letting them paw it like that, much less mark it up with a white pen.

Yeah, I used to Drag race in Fla., and we had to mark the times on the windows, but that's behind me now.

I'm afraid you are going to be terribly disappointed when, and if, you finally get to watch it. As I mentioned earlier it is the original video broadcast datastream directly off the satellite. Windows Media Player 10, will play it but it gets the aspect ratio wrong and the colours are horrible too.

If you have the VLC media player or a DVD player on your system then it should handle it O.K with correct 16:9 aspect ratio and good colour. The G-Spot video analysis tool can make no sense of the file whatsoever!

So having gone to all of the trouble in watching it, what's the content like?

Very, very, very poor indeed. Just like the rest of Men and Motors

Pete

One thing that I really hate about that show is the way that they regularly sit on the cars being evaluated. If I was the owner I would be rather annoyed.

Yes, Andy

somebody else mentioned about them writing on the cars with white pens. Cringe inducing, all right.

I suppose you have to remember the show is put together from the slant of buying secondhand cars, and there lies the rub. Pun intended.

They are talking about the cars from a monetary value point of view. It shows more of the dealer's attitude than we usually see. The cars are commodities. Dealers do not "fall in love" with cars the way we fools do, so they only see them as an item with a profit margin and as something that will be a long time in the showroom/sold tomorrow.

It's not really a classic car show, so you have to expect proles.

Joe

Ok, I put ot on http://svx-iw.com/ in the SVXipedia/Videos section. Download speed will be comparable to the speed at which I initially downloaded the file. Once my torrent I'm working on is done it will be faster (90k/s).
