Mac gurus, does this sound like a fair price?

I found a DUAL processor 1.25ghz G4 with photoshop 7 in the box, and tiger in the box for $950, I wanted at least cs, if not cs2, but most sellers are frekin pirates and don't want to sell anything more than the loaded hard drive so I may settle for 7.

Here are the specs....

This is the top-of-the-line G4 PowerMac with Dual Processors -

and is in mint condition, treated like my baby. This machine is
maxed-out including Tiger clean install, Adobe Suite software and
iLife (all with disks) - and willing to add more software. Comes with
original spherical apple speakers.

Serious inquiries only, please. $950

Dual processor or dual core?
167bus is kinda slow, but it's faster than what I have.

That's a good puter.
Video card is going to leave a lot to be desired. I have the same one, only with 4 times the memory. (;

Not bad for 950. Macs are usually up there. I'd buy it if I had 1g laying around. You got a monitor?

I have an old supermatch monitor with color correcton software, and I my need to aquire a new mouse and keyboard, although I do have a couple that would work...

The monitor is huge by todays standards, and sucks up electricity, but it is a highly detailed piece of equipment

Sounds like a good deal.

With all of the mods on it, I'm really surprised it has that bottom of the line video card in it. You really should think about upgrading it for your photo editing.

If you know any students, you can get Photoshop CS2 for less than $300.

Good Luck,
Dan

What video slots do you (does it) have available?
PCI (ew)
AGP (4x or 8x)
PCI-Ex (Current tech, and cheap thanks to low demand)

If all you're doing is editing photos you don't need to touch the video card.

Big, expensive video cards are only for games. It's the CPU you should be most concerned with and it looks like it has plenty there.

The 2G of ram helps a lot too but I think he might get some bottlenecking with that card.
Probably won't happen/be noticeable unless he starts tearing apart really big videos.

I was thinking since the thing is only 64Mb, it might be a PCI, which makes it kinda ew. :/

I will repeat...big video cards are for games only. Editing photos/videos is dependant SOLELY on CPU/RAM speeds.
