big snowstorm - Subaru for teh win!

just came home from watching the Steeler game at my favorite watering hole, and the roads were F'd up BIG TIME! solid sheet of ice!

made it home with absolutely no problems in the LGT (even though it still has the stock deathtrap RE-92's), while pretty much everyone on the road was sliding, spinning, or just plain going no where.

i saw a Mustang convertible with his front wheels turned 90 degrees just sliding all the way down a long hill. dumbass.

the beauty of AWD! the SVX was a monster with snow tires, so i need to get some for the LGT pronto.

It's funny how I have forgotten how nice Subarus are in the snow. I drive my MR2 every day, snow or no snow. It definitely gets me around, but my wife's Legacy moves so much more easily in snow.

I think I remember what the SVX is like in snow. I think it was good.

I love driving in 4 feet of the white stuff in my Pathfinder. The Forester does great in it as well. I use all seasons, the SVX did ok with them. The Forester has never had snows on her, and she has yet to get stuck.

Winter with the SVX

Hi everyone, As my SVX has Summer tires on, she just sleeps in the garage for the Winter. Hasn't seen snow or rain in four or five years. Take care, BOBB

P/S The SVX did OK with all season tires the last time I drove her in the snow. "B"

I got off work at midnite on thurs and friday, The roads were not plowed, and I was in my Outback. When I pulled onto the 3 lane and saw no tracks, The only thing that crossed my mind was "MASH IT!!!"I hit the gass, and subi pulled to the left a little, then went straight down the middle!!It was fun!!
She's wearing Winston Winners, and we have never failed to get where we needed to be! I am the guy that delivers the milk and bread to non- subi owners in the family!
