Replacing fuel lines...Help!

Hi,

Has anyone attempted to replace the fuel lines? How hard is it?

My lines are corroded and leaking near the driver's side rear wheel. I've repaired two lines with hoses about 2 years ago... But they started to leak again due to more corrosion... I guess it would be time to replace them now. I looked at the parts catalog and it looks like they are one piece front to back! Is that so? Do I have to dismantle half the car to do this job? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards

I cut the leaking one from near the rubber grommet under to rear seat and replaced it with rubber fuel line and clamps. Not exactly the ultimate solution but it worked. Used a brake line cutting tool on the pipe. Don't you just love that Montreal salt? What year is your svx?

Well, I did that rubber hose repair on both lines already.... I guess corrosion just chewed a bit more of the lines..... I'm considering replacing them both at this point....

Any suggestions?

Aren't there 3 lines. Maybe you missed the leaking one. Longer hose? Otherwise you would have to drop the tank I believe to replace the lines. I have come close to actually dropping the tank when replacing the rear metal brake lines. Speaking of rear metal brake lines... if your fuel lines are rusted you can bet the brake lines that run behind the tank are as well!! So if you do end up dropping the tank be sure to replace these.

Thanks for the input.... Not exactly what I wanted to hear....

If I drop the tank, I make sure to check the brake lines as well...
