That's maybe a detail you should have provided in your first post, man. If you thought something might be wrong with your transmission, why didn't you also say, 'oh, and I'm getting duty solenoid C replaced next week because it's bad?'

Labor shouldn't be terrible for that repair - I wouldn't expect more than three hours max, but to be honest I don't know what the book rate is. Make sure you ask them to show you that if you think they're charging too much.

How old is your tranny? If it's been around the block a few times, you might also want them to replace the transfer clutch pack while they're in there. The labor is the same for that job - it'd suck to pay for it twice.

Of course there's something to be said for 'if it ain't broke...'

When Duty Solenoid C fails the car stays in 4wd mode (50/50). When you drive in this mode you get binding between the front/rear wheels. When you turn off the car the solenoid loses power as well line pressure is lost. As a result the AWD clutch lets go and that's the "jerk" you are noticing.

Transmission jerk in Park

Thank you for the great information and help. I had the Duty Solenoid C changed and the jerk stopped and the blinking power light went away. Now I am getting transmission vibration right around 30 mph. As soon as I get by that it is ok. It usually happens on faster starts. A slow start and it will not happen.
