Feng Shui

So here is a WAY off topic...topic.

This is going to sound bizarre but I have to admit, there appears to be something to it. I was skeptical at first but experiences have gone beyond coincidence. According to Feng Shui, the back left corner of a room is the wealth corner. As such, the back left room is also the wealth room. We have had a Christmas Cactus hanging in the back left corner of our back left bedroom for several years now. Every time is blooms, we have had a run of financial good fortune. It is blooming right now and I just found out that I am getting a bonus at work that should come to about 25% of my salary which is pretty decent to start with. The plant blooms red which is the Chinese color for luck, I think. It is a good color.

The best way to have good luck with cars is to not abuse them. But if you are staring at major repairs, what the heck. Throw a flowering plant in the wealth corner. Couldn't hurt, right? At the very least, you are adding oxygen to the room.

Re: Feng Shui

The computer that I am on right now happens to be in the back left room.
It is even in the in the back left corner of that room.

It sits in the spot where my great grandparents bed was.
My grandfather was born in that bed, in this spot.
And 82 years later, my grandfather died in his bed in this very same spot.

Now I sit here, in the same spot my grandfather was born and died.

My grandfather was one of 16 children, 4 of them died with illness as children in this room.
When he was terminally ill, he came home from the hospital to die here. He has rejoined his brother and sisters.
It is really damn eerie in this house sometimes...

Re: Feng Shui

Crap! My back left room is a utility room with washer and drier. No wealth there, just stinky socks.

Re: Feng Shui

what would you refer to as back left in relation to entering the room or looking at the door?

As you walk through the door, left is your left and back is the back.

I need to find the feng shui location to help keep water out of my basement.
