Merry Christmas!!

WELL, Since the Title of the post has to do with the most important holiday in the 'Believers' year, I thought I would share a real reason to 'Believe', that happened tonite!!

This is a 'post' I sent to a local site.
There was a 'request' for donations to a member that was suffering hard times, through no fault of her own.

(She has NO idea that this post is related to her situation)

I share Gods Work now.

I have had a long standing tradition where I drop $50. to a 'worthy cause' during this season.
This year, through no fault of my own, I didn't have the $50.
I reached into my pocket and found $20. so I offered 1/2 of my 'net worth' to a project. This was 8:55 pm
This is a very 'lean' year in my world.
I had also agreed to haul a person that I didn't care for to the hospital tonight.@ 9:00 pm
As I was getting ready to start the car, I got a call that I didn't need to haul this person. At the same time, a car pulled up next to me. It was a guy that I had 'helped' 4 years ago!
He handed me $100.! (9:05 pm!)
This was a 10 fold 'Blessing' that I had not counted on EVER seeing!
I sent word that the $10. 'offer' was now $50.!! (@ 9:10 pm!!)

About 28 years ago, I had a new baby, no job, very little hope, when Eldon Sweitzer knocked on my door and handed me $50.!!

SOMEONE CARES!!

I have tried to 'pass it on' ever since!!
This year, I was not in a position to do it, untill Butch Sweitzers Angel drove up!! Butch died in October.

I will do this thing in his Honor for the rest of my life!

This 'event' happened over a 15 MINUTE period!!

Sends 'shiveres' up your spine, doesn't it??
Does. ME!!

As I re-read this, I had to wipe tears from my eyes.

God is GREAT!! (And I don't have to kill anyone to see Him!)

Re: Merry Christmas!!

Wait, so if im understanding this right, the actual manifestation of your friend that died in October is the one who handed you the $100?

Miracles can and will happen, some may call them coincidences, but some of us know better.

Im glad this night happened for you

No, the $100. that I never expected to see again, (After 4 years) showed up when I really needed to GIVE some of it AWAY!

Non believers will NOT understand my thinking. The more you 'give away', the more the Lord will give you to give away!

This happens because 'Butch' started it over 28 years ago.

NO!! Butch didn't hand me the money, but I have to believe that an unsettled debt, that I never expected to recover,COULD have been 'influenced' by my 'Belief' that the Lord works in mysterious ways. The 15 MINUTE time frame kinda cinched it for me!

Re: Merry Christmas!!

While I have no real need, or love, for organized religion, and feel just having that leads to FAR more conflict then it every diverted, I do believe in a heaven or afterlife. I'll save the rest of the rant for the politics sub forum.

Merry Christmas and kudos for doing something good!
