I understand if you are upset, I would be too, but that doesnt justify your methods.

As with what Earl said, did you come here complaining, or talk to YT first? Something tells me you came here to start a fight, rather than look for resolution.

I would be willing to bet you haven't even called YT yet.

Granted I did it myself, but it lives on LAN's software
What did we determine the problem was any way? See "Nitrous" and "engine trouble"... one has to think.

Im sure you can understand that its damn near impossible to read every single thread in this forum. Either way, this was uncalled for.

Go back to the forum rules and read number one one more time. Here let me help you with that.

Now, after reading the whole thread that was linked by someone esle (thank you for that), it appears that YT is going out of his way to help you with your issues.

Long distance clearly makes things harder, but that was a risk you took when using his services.

If YT was ignoring you and not trying to help with a solution, I could see the issue. But that is not the case.

With that, I hope your issues get resolved to your standards.

Stock valvetrain... did you have tom purge the lash?

we also need a little background on the car...
where did you get it? how long was it sitting? I know of one SVX in the area that will need a total engine rebuild before anyone can trust it. Have not seen it for a couple years now.

i'm not mechanically inclined so i wouldn't know about purge the lash. tom couldn't even get the started when he put in the cams and had to reinstall them to start the car.

STOP!

You need to calm down and think before you respond. RSVX did not say you didn't talk to YT, but asked if you did. I asked as well. You are loosing my respect for you and your case because of the way you are going about this. If you continue this approach, you may get poor results. If it gets out of hand, I will close the thread. And no, I am not trying to protect anyone. I am just getting tired of the way this thread is headed. Thank you for your cooperation on this.

sorry for your troubles...but from what I understand though, there would have been no issues if you hadnt told tom to stop working on the car / stopped paying for the work before he actually finished it....Then it sat waiting for you to pick it up. Typically, Tom is a pretty thorough and quick worker, but under circumstancs where he is being asked to do things that he isnt likely to get paid for (G tech runs and compression tests come to mind) its likely a diffrent story
As far as the tires...the customer is "always" right. I remeber your first.....well, every post other than the past few, you reccomended various tire sizes that nearly every forum member here claimed wouldnt fit. Im suprised your suprised your tires rub

That being said, Im sure if tom wasnt on a well deserved vacation, he would still be answering the 20 something calls a day he recieves fro either you or bobby regarding what to do about the unfinished work to your car.

porschekiller, there are a lot of knowledgeable and talented forum members here that I am sure can help you to resolve your car problems. It sounds like some already have but, let's get that done before we cast blame. We all want a smooth running SVX. Quite honestly, the 2 quarts of oil should not cause instant ring wear but, oil level should be checked at every gas fillup following major engine work. This is coming from someone who says, do what I say, not what I do.

Earle pretty much covered it.

I said I would "bet" you hadn't. It's a bet I would have lost.

And nowhere did I say you aren't giving him a chance.

True colors truly do shine through in this thread, don't they.

I have just read both threads and I do sympathise with your problems. That sympathy is tempered a little by the fact that your low compression cylinders could not have been caused by the cam change work, they had to have been already there as a problem, and you should have had that checked before you gave the go-ahead to upgrade the engine.

However, I'm really not going to discuss specific issues, you have quite a few of them and they need to be resolved between you both.

What I am going to say is that you have been allowed to write up very negative reviews without hindrance from us. These have been posted up to let you air your grievance, and notwithstanding the other party, YT, is away on holidays and thus not in a good position to defend your points.

At this point in time this matter needs to be resolved directly between you and Tom, and I don't see a benefit from keeping on with the accusations in a public space. Without wishing to go into unfriendly mode or close threads or anything, my advice is the same as Earl and Chris, please take the matter up directly with the other party when he is back at work.

We will all be pleased to hear how you got sorted after you have engaged with Tom to resolve things, but negative sentiments made in public can unfairly tarnish the lad's reputation if he is unable to respond because of absence, so I trust you understand our position.

Joe
