rear window blower/ioniser
I see you have the blower switch located in the gear change area, approx 4 months ago I fitted one to my SVX - since I am into electronics I had to see what was in the rear parcel shelf area, WATCH OUT for the high volts if you ever take the cover off the unit - it's approx 5Kv (after all it is also an air ioniser - for those Japanese who smoke whilst having the windows up & aircon on).
I have schematic diagram of control unit - should be located on "your" passenger rear window area under window switch, let me know if you want PDF of wiring arrangement. Steve in New Zealand |

Hey Earl ... are your front wheels on backwards?
Congrats on #13, I like it!

I was waiting for that. Yes, he put new tires on it and the first thing I said to him was -"The front wheels are on backwards".
He had to replace 2 tires before they would pass the car for registration. Now there are 2 Bridgestones and 2 others. Bridgstones are directional and the others are not. I will have to get a set of 4 and sell the others I guess.

I drove rhd stick/auto cars for many years before I came here, and I drive many lhd stick/auto cars on and off all the times for years. I am okay for left, right hands and left, right feet. Fun. Congratulation to your purchase again, Earl. Clean her up and give us more reviews on how different it compares to the USD SVX please and when is the next one again?

I have driven manual transmissions in the RHD as well. It isn't too bad, and I had fun.
The first thing I noticed is that the foglights stay on when you put the high beams on. All 3 lights are on at the same time. Low, fog and high. Lots of light.

I lived in England for two years driving LHD and RHD cars... Its very easy switching from one side to the other (for me) seeing as the pedals were laid out the same, only using a different hand to shift.

Congratulations Earl. Nice "Version E" you've got there. Welcome to the JDM club.
Don't worry about the filth, it'll clean up nice. Our S40-II was a real mess when it came off the boat. Drop me a line if you want to convert the speedo to MPH and/or remove the 180 limiter. Phil.
