ATF filter
Hey guys,
i changed my tranny filter and oil about 10k ago. I was planning on changing the ATF oil today, should i change the filter too? Thanks! |

It also depends on if it is a permacool filter or not. Still, my vote is change it, it sure isnt going to hurt anything if you do. |

how are you canging the fluid are you just draining the pan? because that wont do much

If it's only been 10k I'd just do a drain and fill. Doing that every 10k is a good thing and you really shouldn't need to do anything more. The 'filter' inside the trans is just a screen and only strains huge particles.
If you're referring to the recall filter for the '92 & '93 MY cars I'd probably change it every 30k.
