Ride hight?

OK, who has the right specs and measuring points for the ride hight?

I've looked in three different places and found three different specs. It looks like the measuring points are from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the wheel wheel arch.

Right now I measure 14" in the front and 12 1/2" in the rear. So how low am I really from "stock"?

I'll check the alignment machine tomorrow morning, it should have them listed.

Yeah, I looked on Alldata, a Motor manual, and in Chilton manual and got different numbers from each one.

I have the factory manuals,I'll check them tomorrow and let ya know what they say.....

Yeah, lemme know what you guys find. I think I would trust the factory manule the most.

And on the same note, what are some of you other guys running in ride hight? Stock and modded?

Jesse,
check with Mychailo - I gave him my "stock" ride height and "Bill-stock" ride height way back when and I'm sure he's got it in a database somewhere.....

Jesse, I've got real-world numbers for the LS-L (Bill's car, heavier) and the L AWD (my car, lighter), but they are in my notes in my briefcase (actually its a computer bag) at work. I'll let you know on Fri. morning if you are interested.

i dont get how u are measuring but i did mine today and from ground to the high point in the arch of the wheel im 25 inch in front and 25 1/2 in rear. i want to raise the back 1 inch or so.

Your suppost to measure from the center of the wheel to the high part of the arch, that way tire size does not sque the results.

Everyone else, let's see those numbers.

Center of wheel to fender lip.

Front = 14.2 - 15.4, 15" preferred.
Rear = 12.4 - 13.6, 13.2" preferred.

Manual say's with luggage comp empty,and with a full tank of fuel also......

ill post back with a better measurement. i got stock size new tires at 215 55 16 and the arch is just a inch above the tire. so im pretty low.

My L AWD in OEM condition was:

front: 14.6"
rear: 13.25"

On my '96 awd L model with 2/3 tank of gas, I measured:

Front = 15.0"
Rear = 13.25"

Checked the measurements on the driver's and passenger side and they were the same.
