look in the mod section there is a upgraded ECU that just came out for the SVX. I dought the tornado does any thing at all. I would rather invest that money into a STi air filter, you would gain more horse power and then you have a STi part on your car

Forget the tornado -
get longassname's ecutune chip, thoroughly clean the intake (remove it and clean the runners as well) , put in a new air filter, make sure your plugs are in good shape.
beyond that you are going to need a 50 shot of nitrous to hit 265hp unless you want to spend big $ on a turbo or supercharger setup.

I think you could get 265 horse, with the stage 1 ecu, Sti air filter, a upgraded exhust, ignition upgrade MSD, light weight crank pullie, and the new intake spacer so heat dosent transfer to the inake manifold as much. All these mods should also improve gass milage. This is not the short term cheapest way to get the power, as you can just go get some nitrus, a 75 shot but then you will need to refill it, and you wont get better gas milage.

As far as I know, nobody has actually put one of these magical devices on an SVX. I would reserve any quotes of HP figures until we see on mounted on an SVX and measured improvement.

True, but other cars have seen gains of 5-10hp from using them - our cars should be no different. However, I expect the improvment for our cars to be on the lower side of that scale...

I don't think 250 is a far cry with all those toys. IMO the stock figure of 230 is a bit of a lowball. all the stuff you have tacks on a horsie here and there. high 240s at least.

If you believe that a WRX puts out 225 bhp, then according to my Mr. Dyno runs, the motor puts out about 235 HP. About 163 HP at the wheels for my 5MT SVX vs about 153 HP at the wheels for my friends 2003 WRX. See my locker for the Mr. Dyno runs.

All those quotes were just guestamnents from other cars aculal gain. I dont think the SVX will be on the low end for HP gain because SVX gets a really hot intake, and its longer than the average.

I really would not dought it, unless the cool blue air filter is sucking hot engine air.
