Unhappy Windows & sunroof problem!

I hope someone can help me with this one....

When I try to lower my driver's side window, Nothing moves and I hear some buzzing noise coming from the switch. It doesn't happen all the time (so it’s not the fuse), some times everything is fine!!! When it happens though, I noticed that the same "noise" also comes from the sunroof switch when I try to open it and it doesn't move or verrrry slowly..... Like if there was not enough voltage.....

I suspect a bad ground.... Does anybody knows if the windows and sunroof share the same grounding point? If yes, where it? Or could it be the battery ground? Any other ideas?

I need help my roof is half open (or half closed !)
Thanks

Sun Roof

Hi Jo, In the short term there is a wrench under the liner at the bottom of the center console. This can be used to close the sun roof pending a fix of the problem. Take care, BOBB

Question sunroof won't shut

runs back and forth fine, but won't close ie stuck on vent setting..
checked for obstructions - none, applied RP 7 to tracks runs smoother but still won't close, tried wrench works well but roof still won't shut using it.....
What else..

Dave

Can you hear the motor run even if the sunroof is not moving?

If yes, I think there is a clutch is the gearbox..... it might be slipping.

grnSVX96, I found this info on the web....

The sunroof doesn't always close/open. Is there some way to adjust it?

The first thing is to make sure the tracks are clean and free of obstructions. If you still have problems, you can adjust the sunroof clutch. Locate the plastic cap covering the sunroof clutch. Open the sunroof all the way. Tighten the clutch nut (the big, gold-colored hexagonal shaped doughnut for those less technically inclined) just a bit. Don't try or expect the nut to turn more than 5-10 degrees. This will increase the amount of resistance required for the clutch to stall, and should help to close the roof. If this doesn't help, the sunroof has some serious obstacle, and needs to be realigned. (Thanks to KuoH for the tip)

Hope this helps

if you're still looking for a diagram, look in the electrical wierdness thread, I posted something in response to you there.
