That kinda pisses me off that Subaru has now made a N/A 3.0L that makes 20more HP that our beloved EG33. I guess it was bound to happen some time.
What I really want to know is what they did to that motor to go from 212hp to 250hp, couse that ain't to shabby for a 3.0L.

Subaru is also going to make a 3.6 liter for there 7 seater thats spose to have over 300 horse. Also our eg33 has more torq than the new 3 liter 217, 227.
Also if i was building the eg33 to be turboed i wouldent use the ej22t pistons becasue there cast. I know je has some good pistons forthe ej22t. Last edited by svxsubaru1; 03-10-2004 at 09:56 AM. |

EZ30
the 6 in the legacys now is the EZ30 212HP@6000 210TQ@4400 10.7 : 1 ratio. it has two timing chains instead of timing belts.

Subaru changed the crank to eg33 style and put varible valve timing and lift on it to get the extra umph out of the engine.

There is a new B4 variant in Europe with the 250hp NA EZ30, the STi 6-speed manual transmission, the full Bilstein treatment, and will be available in wagon versions.

That is definitly not the best build up for the SVX... You would never fit that under the hood... Try a centrifical supercharger instead of a roots type... That would work tons better...
