SVX purchase surprises me everyday...

Hello All,

For those who don't know I scored a great SVX. Recap
97 SVX LSi.
46000 original miles and very well maintained in excellent condition inside and out, clean inside and no rust or damages outside.
Ebony.
One owner before me and got original bill of sale and window sticker.
She loved the car so much that she had the OEM cup holder and an original spare set of OEM carpets still in the plastic.

So this car continues to surprise me. Been driving it for just two weeks now.

So far on two occasions while parked I have watched people from a window go up to the car and do a walk around. On one occasion the person was even putting her head to the window to look inside.

The drive is very tight and smooth (but for my ABS issue in the technical section that I will tend to in the coming weeks).

I like the little things that I have found or the design features like:
-Winter mode for the wipers, good for Canada
-The option to bright up the dash and climate control lights with the press of the button when the lights are on during the day for better usability
-The small but handy seatbelt arm (not talking about the automatics ones) that holds the belt and buckle forward for more easy access each time
-The amount of windows, love it but I wish the sunroof was glass as well.
-The amount that the sunroof goes up and just back an inch or two in the tilt position, I find most cars don't have them open enough.
-Fact the the sunroof does not rattle after 11 years
-Fact that nothing rattles after 11 years
-The width of the car is nice and makes the cabin feel large and comfortable

I am still not used to the window within a window black trim in the middle and at times I feel like its another car or object in my field of vision but I think I will get used to it.

I also changed the batteries in the two remotes that I got with the car and to my surprise they both work.

Best regards

Max

It's quite the car. It has amazing features. 7 years ago it would have made a great daily driver for me. Now it's a great sunday driver. Still, I love it, 5 speed is a great thing for me. Also, props on the FD, one of my favorites.

To drive it is to love it. The car still is exciting to drive after many years of enjoyment.

Re: SVX purchase surprises me everyday...

Hi Max

Fantastic that you are enjoying the SVX so much. Mine is currently in having the body tidied up from the previous owners trips to the shops. Then it is being resprayed. I do miss driving it. Can't wait to get it back

Nice fleet of cars you have there.

Cheers

Colin
