My Carpet! How Do I Clean It?

After 45 min of foamy stain removal, scrubbing, blotting, vacuuming, and air gunning my stain wont go away. I am guessing its about 3 years old. anyone have luck with getting rid of this type of damage, aside from carpet replacement?[IMG][/IMG]

Did you try a steam cleaner? They work good on these.

Re: My Carpet! How Do I Clean It?

Remove the carpet and take it to the car wash. Soak it in Simple Green or Purple Power over night before washing it out. Afterwords, get some fabric paint from Autozone and go over what's left of the stain.

Re: My Carpet! How Do I Clean It?

I Think its from a 64oz coke or dr pepper that was sitting sideways on the passenger seat for a minimum of 30 seconds with the top partially off.

It could have been for longer than 30 seconds if it was leaking from the straw hole.

If no lid...yeah...ask RSVX if you really want to know

Re: My Carpet! How Do I Clean It?

G'day Eric

You could try a little bit of white spirits which you can get at the supermarket, use it on a clean white rag gently rubbing it in. It is inexpensive and goes a long way and is great for all sorts of marks on carpet.

Stoners is also a great product available in many places. Here is an example of what to look for: http://www.getcleanercarpets.com/

Good Luck

Colin

Re: My Carpet! How Do I Clean It?

holy crap people! I used a bissel little green machine today.but after 45 min i said eff it. It helped but there is just way to much and its way to old. like zeppelin said, I think im going to have to take the carpet out spray it down and let it soak, and lightly pressure wash it.

I dont want to order all of these cleaners online and hope they work. If the stain wasnt so old I think just about any foamy carper stuff would do the trick. Thanx for all teh imput

Don't worry, be happy. Just do not expect to see a new $650 piece of carpet in at reading. It could be worse...It could have been vomit
