Jap battery sticker translation - can you help?

Hi folks

This photo is of my battery with three different states of charge/health/fluid level etc.

IMG_2738.JPG
Can anyone translate exactly what the different ones mean? In particular the blue with the red center dot. Fluid levels appear to be OK, but one battery is blue and the other has the red dot... eekk.

Matt

I would say the blue one is ok, but the others would be not so good.

I used to have one just like that. My guess is they mean "Working OK", "Needs charging up" and "Dump it in the skip".

I can't help thinking that if the battery is duff, then you will quickly figure it out without needing to look at the indicator.

Blue w/ red dot = fully charged

Clear w/ red dot = discharged

Full red dot = add water

I could have those last two flip-flopped, but I'll check at work tomorrow lol

I have 2 of these batteries (in a 4runner) and one of them is just showing blue with no red dot, and the other has the blue with the red dot. So I don't think the blue with red dot is a normal condition.

There are 2 types of indicators used on JDM batteries depending on which manufacturer.

Type 1:
Blue with red dot = Excellent (Fully charged)
Red with white dot = Add water
White with red dot = Recharge

Type 2
Blue = Excellent (Fully charged)
White = Recharge/add water

So what's blue with no red dot on a battery that has a sticker as per the photo? Both of the batteries have the same indicator and sticker and one of them is showing a red dot as per the sticker and one of them is just showing blue with no red dot. Paddles - you speak japanese don't you? I guess both of them are allright, I'd just like to translate that sticker if possible.

Cheers folks

Matt

Direct translation of the sticker is

Blue with red dot = Excellent
Red with white dot = Add fluid
White with red dot = Add charge
