Pretty much what you told me.

But I got hung up on RK..... Mine is NH.

Sequential number is 101733, and this means that it is the 1733 car off the line?

Curious as to how people are finding the serial number for the vehicles.
I assume {hm} that mine is #1733 in 1992, although it was born in 6\91 according to the door jamb.

Thanks

Correct. If the last six digits are 101733, that means your car was #1733 off the line in that production year. 6/91 indicates the month & year when your car was manufactured. The SVXs manufactured in '91 were sold as a '92 model.

My '96 was manufactured in 11/95 and was #321 off the line.

N=1992

H=full time AWD 4AT

The coding for the FWD/AWD changed in 1994 to the K/X that Chiketkd is speaking of. All other VIN digits stayed the same. The R is his model year vice your 1992.

Thanks Boss. Makes sense now.

It's been years, but do you know where Duck Pond is, somewhere in your vicinity? I spent time there with the scouts as a kid. MMMMany years ago.

No prob.

Duck Pond? Are you speaking of the "Duck Pond" on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA?

I live about 2.5 hours north of there, but I had a couple of friends who attended Va Tech, while I was attending UVA. Nice area!

Duck Pond is a place just south of Charlottesville. Probably just what they called it at the time of the visit. But seems to me it was just south of Charlottesville proper. Oh well. Thanks

In the future, if you want to find out about the VIN, go here to the How-To Documents under SVX Informaton. Good luck.

Also, the Production numbers usually start with a higher number than 1, but it will give you the proper sequence of production.
