Red face transmission noise. . .

I just got my svx back from the shop and it had the transmission rebuilt and i'm curious if i should bring it back for them to look at it again. when i'm on the gas and i take my foot off the gas theres a clunk sound right where the transmission is. a couple times the shifter rattled while making the sound. should i be worried or is this normal.

They could have left the bolts loose/or not in from the exhaust hanger, same with the rear trans mounts or the little tab on top of the rear housing (could be sticking up hitting the floor board)

it had made this noise before i got it fixed but much worse, what happened before was the front differential exploded. can this be the front differencial "clunking" into gear or something??

Check all your mounts first, including engine. Look for breaks and nuts and bolts missing.

Will it make the noise when shifting into reverse (or initially accelerating in reverse).

It sounds like the noise caused by a worn tranny mount.

It sounds to me like a bad tranny mount. If that's not it, then I'd start looking for lash in the driveline somewhere.

the answer is yes, bring it back to them and try to get them to find this problem.
