tranny compatibility

I have the opportunity to purchase a used tranny from a 95 model. I have a 92 and would like to know if this 95 will work without any modifications. Seems like I read somewhere that maybe the electrical harnesses are not compatible. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated as the seller has assured me that this swap will work. Thanks in advance to all who respond.
