1/4mi. GONE IN 13.321 SECONDS

I got the timeslip to prove it for you CHIKETKD.I used a buddies slicks mounted on drag lites last night with the 125 shot and man that was my best run to date, and this time should prove that with longassname setup any awd svx should run a high 12.My 60ft dropped to a 2.067 vs normally a 2.2 my 1/8 dropped from a high 8 low 9 to 8.63 at 83 my 1/4 oh my god 13.321 at 106.021mph where with the 100 shot I run 13.8-9s.My backup pass was crap,I BROKE MY DRIVERS SIDE CV axle again its the second one in a month.SVXes rule this track, and people was shocked to see my burnout, assuming I had a 16 second awd car.I was going to race a eagle talon that was running 13.6 with a 1.67 60ft wow. Some people will doubt my time but all I have to say is don't race this fwd svx.Chike send me your address so you can post my timeslip.YES its powered by zex with an xt6 fpr.

Also on another note one 1/4 mile pass I used 3.5 lbs of nitrous. My bottle was 25lbs full and after a burnout plus a full pass it was down to 21.5.

Do you have a scanner to show us the timeslip? I would like to have something to show others what an SVX can do.

It feels good then but not when you have to keep buying parts all.I wanted to know was could the svx be a drag car well yes it can.It started after watching a buddy take his new acura rsx from 15.2 to 11.8 at 120mph with a built engine, turbo and slicks.

Dude thats awsome! I should have my stage II kit in the mail by now (right LAN?) I can't wait to get the kit together and hit the track again. At least I'll have a good reason to build up my 5 speed after.

With your stage2 kit you shouldn't have a problem running a twelve,I think my svx is very close to a drag car at the track,I run no power steering or a/c belts I have a belt that fit around the idler pulley, alternator an crank. Also my exhaust has no converters at all, very good for the spray.Take it easy, this took me over two years tuning my zex kit on my own,if I had awd stage 2 is the way to go because the svx midrange is so strong. If you want to stay with the automatic invest in a stall, that will shave aleast .5 from your quarter time alone, they build heat true but if you install two tranny coolers plus your stock cooler thats three you won't have A problem.GOOD LUCK

Thumbs up

Walter,

Great time! I replied to your e-mail with my mailing address. I'll be more than glad to post a pic of your timeslip along with the dyno sheets everyone keeps asking for...

I would've gotten back to you sooner, but I was tied up all Friday doing my 4.11 Swap...

Wahoo! Congrats on the time. Sorry about the CV joint - did it go on the way down the track or during a burn out? I thought the FWD axle pieces were heavier duty than the AWD pieces.

I broke my drivers side axle on the backup pass on the launch.I think its because the drivers side has more weight over the wheel,I purchase a torque converter from DURITE CONVERTERS about two years ago and it really help you leave the line hard. After my second burnout for my backup pass it was so much smoke it looked like a dragcar burning out,I think that pass would have been maybe a little faster I engaged the nos at 3 grand instead of 5500.After I get the wifey off my back,I'll relocate the battery into the trunk, and I'm working on a way to plum in two extra injectors and buy a nitrous controller and have it setup to pull like a really big turbo.I have seen a similar setup on a saturn that ran 12.6 in the quarter with a 150 shot running thru a controller with really what was a basic stock 16 second motor. Then again this may take awhile.

poweredx2:

Describe your nitrous setup a little for me. Aren't you running a ZEX dry system? They usually max at 75 hp jets. How did you set up the 125 hp shot?

With a few more mods, I'll bet the SVreX could FLY!! We intend to upgrade the nitrous system to 150 wet NOS system with ECUTune's stage 2 chip, but we can't do that until after next year's GRM challenge. We want to compete one more time legally for under $2005. After that, the sky is the limit!
