tell me what tools I need if you would. I have a little set of sockets and wrenches. I am doing this with my gearhead friends.
**** paying a thousand dollars for something I can do myself. maybe the body work end with money in a mechanic's pocket.

To replace the control arm, spindle and strut assembly you will need;
Sockets and wrenches in 10,12,14,17 and 19. The more variety of 3/8 and 1/2 drivers and extensions the better. To remove the axle nut, you will need a 32mm socket. If any of your friends has an air or electric impact wrench, it will be a big help. Of course the basic jack, jack stands, band aids. Actually, the tools listed above will get you through most things that you would ever need to do on your SVX. There are some 8mm and a few 22mm but probably 90% of the nuts/bolts are 10,12,14,17 and 19.
