wiper hitting molding. Noisy
I have an intermittent issue with my drivers side (LHD) wiper. When traveling over 50 mph or so. and only sometimes, the wiper arm makes contact with the molding at the edge of the window. I am thinking the wind is pushing it just a bit more than usual to make this happen. Has anyone else dealt with this issue. Is it a matter of taking the arm off and moving it (adjusting it) one tooth of the spline over? Or is there some wear going on with the linkage or something?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: wiper hitting molding. Noisy
What you said. Also try setting the wipers on winter mode.

Re: wiper hitting molding. Noisy
I had the same issue - removed the "spoiler" fitted to the drivers side blade, set the wipers to winter mode as suggested and all is well.
I think the linkage may be worn and this makes the issue worse. /T |

Re: wiper hitting molding. Noisy
moved the arm over one tooth on spline. we will see. Has not rained since I made adjustment. I did not notice any difference between winter and summer mode when I tried that first.
