Hello svxlatino. The throttle body is something you can clean yourself, but from what I've heard, it usually causes rough idle, loss of power and things like that if it's dirty. I don't think it would make a grinding noise, although I'm not much of a technical guru when it comes to cars.
I'd invite you to start a new thread on your issue as your questions may be answered and noticed quicker, although I don't mind you asking questions here. I wish I could be more help but like I said, I don't have much of an understanding of the technical aspects of cars. Dave.

The other component is the rear epicyclic gear set, this set also runs when the box is in neutral. If the sound goes away when you select drive, The rear gear set is the problem, if not it may be the front pump. Don't want to put the "curse of the black jelly bean" on you mate but I would put it up on a hoist, running in neutral and have a listen along the engine trans unit, to try to locate where the sound is coming from. Harvey.

"I took my car to a mechanic because it was making a whiney noise and they told me to check the trans...so I said to my brother, 'Take off your dress and help me with this will you' ".
