You sure I didn't let them know to try and stop you since you passed by and didn't call?

Try switching the angles of the seat bottom and back to see what might be a better position.
i changed my seating position today and it helped a little bit so i will adjust the bottom tomorrow to something different and see what that does

Re: does this happen to anyone else?

Since getting my teal on the road a few weeks ago, my right butt cheek gets real uncomfortable after about 30min of driving. The drivers seat was real torn up and I had a spare passenger seat, so I swapped cushions. Its like sitting in a new seat, but damn its hard as a rock
Oh and my right knee has been going out for over a year now. To many years of construction and physical labor
Use the cruise control and move your leg around while driving is all I can suggest.

Re: does this happen to anyone else?

The SVX seats are pretty solid, not very squishy at all. My father-in-law, who drove and test-drove a lot of subies and a wide variety of other cars over the years, said that most subarus have harder seat cushions. And it probably doesn't help that someone was sitting on it, flattening it down for 100k+ miles...

One of the things on my wish-list is to have the seats re-upholstered professionally (in black leather) and have squishier butt cushions put in.

It's pretty normal for any healthy person to have odd, minor, inexplicable aches and pains from time to time. Yes, even at 22. It's probably nothing to worry about.

I was born during the Eisenhower administration and find the SVX to be a very comfortable ride. Ingress and egress when the door can't be opened wide is a bit awkward, though. Not as nimble as I used to be, and those seats are mighty low. To exit, I plant my left hand on the door sill and that bears my weight as I pivot up and out.

Yeah, I suppose it is. I happened along right after Sputnik.

Sometimes when I get in or out of my car I think how much trouble my parents would have, and cringe to realize I'm only about 20 years behind.

When i was around 32, i thought i tore my rotator cuff in my shoulder. Went to the doctor, and he said "arthritis". WTF?

The pain was so sharp at times i couldnt even bench press 50lbs without searing pain, but i went to the gym and kept working on it, and its fine now.

You may not have arthritis, but strengthening your knees/legs with exercise couldnt hurt.

Re: does this happen to anyone else?

You want uncomfortable try driving my 1st and 2nd cars 1950 Dodge 4door meadow brook and a1956 Chevy Covertabile with the plasic seats. Why people want to drive the old cars amazes me.
