Besides, I wasn't interested in looks as I considered a Jensen Healey, Lotus Elcat and an early Esprit. Chose this as it was a solid 1g skidpad car out of the box. Sorry Alan, cars that handle don't apply to you! Plus it was priceless when the neighbor with the straight pipe Harley "asked" me not to drive it to work in the morning as it wakes him up. FYI it has as much clearance as an SVX does. Just doesn't have the approach angle.

Don't worry, when I decide what to do engine wise it (still going back and forth on keeping a streetable 2.8 in it or going to a 4.9 or a rover engine (tranny is the issue with the later here in the states) you won't have to look at the front end at all in your silver!)
ROFLMAO when you get the flying wedge of cheese to go faster than my silver... There is a good chance I ran out of gas

Swap away man, go for it... Still gonna be sucking on fumes while your rear tires are in the air b/c of the gross weight imbalance

Tom

This theory holds no water with this particular design.

The engine and gearbox are in the middle of the car way behind the front axle. They are in fact so far back that if you looked at the cheese wedge from above the driver is practically sitting in the boot [OK you guys can call it trunk, what do I care? ]

If he puts a V8 in there, and they came with a 3.5 Buick V8 from the factory, this thing will seriously shift donkey.

Actually the 4.9 and t-5 will lighten the car by a solid 50lbs. Weight imbalance? It is a mid engine car. None of the engine is in front of the axle. It has a very decent weight bias now for a rwd car.

Showing your ignorance again Alan, there is 5x more Jag XJ in the suspension then Ford. Although I do have a Ford part number for the upper and lower ball joints so you must be right.

Not sure about your hairdresser engineering b/c I know a hairdresser like you couldn't even parallel park the thing.

Maybe the golf carts you buy weigh over a ton but I can pick the 2 I have for work up myself if I need to.
