My second AWD Guigiaro car

I picked up my second all wheel drive Giugiaro designed car last Saturday =) I can't possibly relate to you how tired I was of having a 3 member family driving a 2 seater car, not being able to move anything ever... I HAD to have something bigger. So I traded it in on a one owner 2008 Suzuki SX4 Crossover. I had to get something cheap or the fiance would never let me do it, I looked at every option and thought this was best... It sure beats a Honda Fit or a Chevy Cobalt.

Its the touring model with the smart key, traction control, 6 CD changer, fog lamps, and like all of the hatch backs, iAWD (selectable between FWD, Automatic distribution, and 50:50 lock).

Whatcha think?

Those cars are so cool! If I were in the market for a new car, one would be at the top of my list.

Re: My second AWD Guigiaro car

I like those cars too. I drove an automatic when they first came out and it was nice but a little slow to me (it only had 10 or so miles on it though).

I would consider it too if I needed a new car. I like the switchable AWD stuff.

Re: My second AWD Guigiaro car

It ain't exactly a speed demon but its a daily driver so I'm fine with it. I traded in a 1.8 liter making the exact same horse power (only it weighed 500 lbs less..) so its not a real big adjustment to me. Only thing I dont like is its auto, me and the wife both drive manuals. I did a seach and the closest manual one to me was 500 miles away, and it was more expensive. I really only went with this one over it because it was in town and I loved the color =)

Re: My second AWD Guigiaro car

It is a very nice color.

And for what they are, they seem like good little cars. Suzuki and Hyundai seem to be coming on strong, and hungry for marketshare, and their products show it. I wish Subaru would get that clue.

I think I might have gone a size bigger, and gotten a Forester, instead, though, but this Suzuki looks like a nice little daily pot-hole dodger.

Thumbs up Re: My second AWD Guigiaro car

I love those little cars!

And I never realised it was a Giugiaro design! Signs on though, it's a very pretty and balanced design.

Wish you all the best with it.

Re: My second AWD Guigiaro car

Drat! I thought you bought an Impulse AWD Turbo. I too think it is a need little package. Though I wish they'd bring us the Swift back with awd. Let me know what kind of mileage it gets. If I remember right Car and Driver had a combined 23mpg which was much lower than I'd suspect. I know a member here had the older Suzuki wagon Aveo or someothing like that and enjoyed it until he started having issues which the dealer wasn't able to solve like buzzing panels and an alignment which wasn't aligned.

Why Subaru doesn't bring an entry level to this country I'll never know. Esp. now with the Imp topping 20k out the door.

Re: My second AWD Guigiaro car

Love the price, the AWD and options. Can't get past the typical 2000's era econo box styling (sorry Guigiaro ). But I understand why people would buy and love them. For me personally I'm hoping that Suzuki might someday make a larger more stylish sedan or coupe with AWD.

Not the storm, the impulse.
