So which is the culprit?

Getting that "sinking feeling" in my gut about my rear pass suspension. Haven't really paid it much heed of late with the stockers with snows on, but I had to throw my 17"s on in an emergency since I hit a BAD pothole and bent one of the stockers badly. !8"s don't have tires that are usable for a few days(getting my new tires tomorrow. Anyone try running 245s yet on 18x8" with a 45ish offset?) Anywho was looking at the sad 215's that were on my 17"s and how sad they look not nearly filling the wells at all. Then I noticed the rear pass side was sagging bad. So which is it likely Spring finally giving after 15 years, or the strut? I only notice the drop not really much of a give issue otherwise. My Impreza eats all my big money and buying the tires is setting my car funds back already so I need to know which I really need to replace. I'm sure it's the springs but I want to be sure.

Springs cause sagging, not struts. Probably wanna take a look at the mount, though, as suggested.

Check for a broken spring. 245's will be fine on 8" wheels with that offset. Get some coilovers

Yeah Bobby confirmed that on the 245's. I can't wait to get them on. Tried to get the mounted yesterday but they were all booked up so I couldn't get them mounted on the wheels to get them home to put on. As for the coilovers... I want to but I'll have to wait a few weeks to even get started. Probably run the GC's for a week or two then get the Koni's to get in there. I really need to be clearing my credit card and getting parts to get my Impreza running though so maybe not. The sag is only about 1/4" at the moment but the other days it seemed more from my driveway being a 20yr old improperly layed pile of crap.

Fixxed that statement for ya Bobby. Let me know some prices and we'll talk. Right now I need to clear my credit card as I've got all my bills coming up at the begining of next month. Paying for college out of pocket this semester sucks. I also need ot look into getting a smaller storage unit as I clear a LOT of stuff out of it with very little going back in.
