Opinions on Possible Rust

Hey everyone, I'm lookin at getting an SVX, but I live in Minnesota and don't have a garage. This means I'll have to keep it outside exposed to a MN winter and salt. I could wait a few years, but SVX's seem to continue diminishing in number and quality as time goes on. Any thoughts on preventative measures for rust or if you think I should wait? Thanks.

Wait and buy one that is rust free when you have a garage (assuming you plan a long term ownership). It'll be cheaper than buying one now then "trying" to fix rust later. If you really want one now, buy one that already has some rust use it until the rust kills it then if you're in a better situation buy a rot free one.
