Something really funny happened when I put on the 18's from solar and also cut 2 colis out.

Whats funny is it seems to ride smoother.

It may just be in my head but the difference in ride between the 17's and 18's probably isnt that much.

Technically there should be a difference in ride going to a smaller sidewall like 17" wheels to 18" however I have run 16, 17, and 18 with the right size tires and there really isn't much difference between the 17 and 18. 16 though the ride was better for sure.

And did you really cut 2 coils? I wanna lower the front of my svx a bit and have experience with cutting coils (mitsu mighty max) and it was terrible. I just can't find anyone willing to sell me a set of lower springs for the front only

Okay I'll fess up.

I cut my coils after having asked solarsvx why my car, with the wheels on it that I had just bought from him, looked so different in the front with a larger wheel well. Solarsvx said, "my coils were cut by one or two coils I dont remember which but try one first and you may have to roll the fender and if you go too far its not rverseable".

I had my mechanic do one and they did not look like solars car so I told him to chop another.

Let me say this. Bastard then charged me $250. Probably because he did it once, but everything back on and then took everything back off to do it again. I said, "I could have bought the GC coils for that much almost" but he would budge from $250.

My car seems a little lower in the front then thoses at planetsvx in the picture.

My ride is great. I guess its not cool but I wanted to try it.

Yea they really are white and chrome. Its a toss up between those and some stern warp st4 bronze.
