Talking Another 5spd SVX is on the road

I finally got it all together and was able to drive the car today. At first I could only get the clutch pedal to work and get the car into 2nd because disengagement point was right at the floor. I adjusted the rod as much as I could and now it is just off the floor and I am able to get into all the gears. I would still like to raise it a little more but at least it works.

Out of curiosity, if you have a hydraulic set up where is your disengagement point?

glad to hear it... It should release a little bit off the floor but usually some adjustment is needed. Did you use any spacers between the clutch master cylinder and the mounting studs??

I did not use any spacers. Seems like using spacers might make the problem worse. I think what I need to do is get the master cylinder closer to the pedal box so there is a little preload on the cylinder.

thats exactly what needs to happen. Check to be sure there isn't anything keeping that from happening now before you go out and get anything... That is a stock pedal box just with the upper mounting points changed. check it out
