Conversation with a co-worker

Let me quickly provide a list of things a co-worker tried to tell me when he saw my SVX:
1: A European model was made with a 2.0 leader 4 cylinder boxer engine, with or without a turbo
2: It came in an automatic 4 speed, automatic 5 speed, and manual 5 and 6 speeds.
3: The Japanese model was a twin turbo model.
4: The engine in the U.S. was available with either a 3.0 or 3.3 liter, with or without a turbo

Everytime he came up with a new false statement, I told him he was wrong, but he swore he was right, and even claimed that while he was stationed in Europe 10 years ago, he saw all of these things. I told him it was possible to install a 5 or 6 speed manual, but that was the only thing he had right. In the end, we were actually arguing over who was right, but at least I am sure that I was. What an idiot.

most wrx guys who recognize it is an svx that I run into assume it has the 2.5... and ask if mine is the turbo model .
the swaps are starting to school some of them in the eg33 though, and it is becoming less frequent.

Almost every time I get asked, "Does it have a turbo?", "It's a boxer 6?", (pre 6MT) "Why didn't you get a 5spd?" I'm getting used to it. One guy asked during the 6MT "Subaru parts bolt onto this?" Jackass thought it was a Nissan. It's just how a lot of people are now a days. They see a Subie they think it has to have a turbo.

Plus at the GTGs everyone looks as you drive by and people ask questions while doing a photo shoot.

Plus its design is very revolutionary that it doesn't fade away by time and age.

That and no one knows how old my car really is. I get "what year did subaru make This? All the time but i never tell. Nobody needs to know my car is 15 years old. After why would i drive this old car when i could afford a new one. If they dont know they cant question it. (Yes i know people who think old cars are junk and shouldnt be driven. I know better. But then i also buy my clothes used b/c i'm smarter than they are, or maybe i just need the money for parts. )

I had a guy ask me if it was the 2006 model . I let people know what year it is only because I like to see their reactions.
