no way! black is the best (and most menacing. ) one of the things i miss the most was getting behind someone on the highway, and they would get out of your way IMMEDIATELY! its an intimidating figure in the rearview mirror!

if not black, my next favorite was Lagoon Green Metallic - its silver, but at certain angles its has a bluish-green tint to it. it was unreal seeing it in person, really beautiful. good luck finding one, though.

Dave
i bought my 928 when my wife and i were still dating. what woman wouldn't want to be picked up in the shiny black Porsche, right? i pulled up and said, "what do you think?"

she said, "is that practical?"

she's a keeper.

If I had met you earlier Alan, you could have come visit your 928 . I love the black, but she might go for red. I'll take what I can get. The silver is nice, no white, maybe the navy blue, but black and red are my favorites. The black looks sweet tinted out.

Alan check out E-Bay under Porsche 928. They have a rare green over orange S4 10 miles from Pittsburgh. They also have a SUPERCHARGED 88 S4 . I'll be up nights thinking about that car.

he wants $15k for that car with the issues it has? i don't think so. i remember the paint on my '87 was nicer than the paint on the '97 SVX. they got GOOD quality paint jobs, unlike the crap cars get nowadays - that thing must have been thrashed to need new paint.

Nothing matches the quality the Germans put into cars in the late 80's early 90's. I'm starting to fall in love with the Guards Red. I still like Black the best, that's what was in Weird Science, but Red looks hot. Plus my SVX was Red and Tan. I just keep thinking what a Supercharged 928 would be like. Talk about a freight train! I'd have to replace rear tires every 5k ! At 9k you'd have money to fix the issues, but 15k is way to high. There are alot of nice 928's under 90k milage for 13-15k on AutoTrader.com. I only search for black and red automatics. I saw that Mercedes made the trannys on the 928 S4. They make a bullet-proof auto. Look at all the auto AMG cars.

I waited for awhile with my crappy 44k and the status bar never moved. Have to look at it on broadband. Alan you see what I named my future 928? I'll explain it if you are curious.
