Unhappy Moving tomorrow...sorta

Well tomorrow I'll move into the apartment where I'll be spending approximately the next 3 1/2 months until school starts again.

During the school year I work at an apartment complex doing mostly random office work and some design stuff for about 10 hours a week. I was going to find a job near home so that I didn't need to commute, but my boss offered me a 2BR apartment for over the summer if I work 40hrs, I just need to pay utilities. I won't have teh internets so I can save on the bills, so you probably won't see me around very much...

Maybe you can find a "hot spot" where you can pick up a stray signal from someone's wireless network?

Before you are completely internet-less, check out NetZero -- they have a free plan, but it's limited to 10 hours a month, I think.

The "toolbar" that is required to be onscreen while the program is running is annoying (it takes up about 20% of the screen), but I keep it as a "back-up" in case I have trouble loging on to my regular ISP.

You might also check out PeoplePC -- I don't know if they offer a free plan or not.

Kmart used to offer free internet too. I don't know if they still do or not..

With a screwdriver. Just match up the wires on the old one with the terminals on the new one.

BTW- I'm at work right now, but in the apartment I can pick up a stray signal in one bedroom, but it cuts out a lot. I'm hoping a trip to BestBuy for a wireless repeater and antenna will fix that problem...then I'll just return it before my 90 days are up and get my $100 back Unless someone has a spare I can borrow/buy off you cheap...
