Installation of Polyurethane Bushings

Chike,
Looks like the same bushings I modified to work with my front bar, back before I went with the current Mychailo-provided beast front bar....
Question - as the centerline of the bushings is lower than the stock bushings (see your first picture) how did you get the bushing to bolt in tight without putting a spacer between the bushing and the frame?

Good job chike. After i get my new stereo installed tomorrow im gonna be looking at getting my suspension problems fixed. Me thinks its bushings....i must inspect them first though. But good job on the write up.

Bill, the 9.5105g is slightly wider, as well as slightly shorter,(something that I am WAY too familier with) so it spreads the factory bracket out slightly for a very good fit .

The How-To is a bit confusing. The title says "Prothane", but Chike installed Prothane in the rear and Energy Suspension bushings in the front. A specific listing of the Brand/part numbers for front and rear bushings would be good.

Nice! I was waiting to find out if there was a more direct replacement for the fronts.

I just ordered the 95105s and the 95121s from www.energysuspensionparts.com, total came to $35 w/shipping.

One other thing I noticed is that the ridges at each end of the factory bushings were much taller than the ones on the energy suspension bushings. So even though the factory bushings are taller than the energy suspension ones, the actual section that the bracket clamps down on is relatively the same...

Just another "tidbit" to add here is that the AutoZone car parts places around here actually carry the Energy Suspension bushings as regular, in-stock pieces. Just bought 22mm bushings today for around $16 - and they come equipped with zerk fittings so you can grease them when they're installed!
