There it is, something Alan and I agree on. How can you argue with that? What's more important than our safety? Like I said before, dead people don't care about the economy, education, medicare, or social security. Bush realizes that American lives are the #1 priority and sometimes domestic concerns have to take a back seat to world events when it concerns American lives. It's not a pretty way to do things, but it's necessary.

Oh and by the way, did anybody get a count of how many times Kerry changed his mind in the debate on thursday? I know Bush did...the faces he made were so funny.

Hrmmm I don't really like the thought of Bush shaping the Supreme Court. Don't really like the idea of Kerry shaping nat'l security/foreign policy (although Bush doesn't fill me with confidence either). Decisions, decisions.

To me this stuff is really getting old, when Bush was elected, people at my plant was happy until one guy said we would be gone before Bush was,TRW AUTOMOTIVE went to Mexico this year along with over 10 years of 40-70 thousand a year do to cheap labor.I'm a black american male but I'm not voting for neither because the rich will keep getting richer and to hell with the middle class. Now I have to survive off of 416 a week while I'm trying to get degree as a automotive tech. There were a few more plant type jobs but everyones in the same boat on that oneway river to Mexico.I don't lay full blame on one man,but whoever opened the doors to build Mexico free trade back in 94 got the ball rolling for our country so slowly go from being a world power to just some overworked underpaid people with two classes, rich and poor.

Was it Bush Sr. or Clinton who approved NAFTA? But as for companies moving overseas, as private or stock held entities, they are free to do what they wish. They answer to no government. You can lay out tax incentives to avoid import taxes, like most foriegn auto plants do. But since Kerry's wife leads one of the worst offenders in exporting of jobs, it amuses me to watch him stump this issue. Is she gonna hire everyone back when she becomes first lady? Don't think so. Bush may stand for some ideas you don't, but at least he stands for something. I'll take a canditate that has a plan over one who says anything to get elected.

That assumes Kerry supporters were also Clinton supporters. I suppose many people consider themselves a member of one party or another no matter the cost, but I don't.

I'm with you on that one. However, most of the Kerry followers that i've talked to think Clinton was the greatest thing that ever happened to this country. That's just my experience though.

Which 1, the slick doublespeak Perry Masonite or the angry old elitist?

Seems we will elect 1 of the 2 most reviled profeesionals in the world- a platiff's lawyer or a corporate board member.

Many, many years ago, at the University of Wisconsin in Madison; there was a young politcal science major who led the protests against the Vietnam war and against Dow Chemical (makers of napalm).
His name was Richard Cheyney.
