If you had $5000 to spend

I know this isnt directly related to the SVX, and its prob ably a dumb question seeing as im in an svx forum. but i was wondering if you had $5000 what kind of car would you buy, any car not nesicerily an svx.

Probly a really crappy newer one or a really cool older one that needed alot of work.

If I came up with 5k I would have to spend it to put my Legacy back together.

I'd get a honda prelude with stick shift if I can't get a black SVX for around 2000. Why black? So I can repaint it yellow or silver and I don't have to worry about engine bays.

I can't find the right yellow yet. Perhaps the same colour that the fire trucks use. As for the Silver SVX, I don't like the silver that came with the SVX. It looks too dark and gray. I want a lighter silver.

Depends. Right now I'd probably blow it on paint and body on my SVX, along with new wheels, stebro exhaust, and maybe some nitrous. And HIDs. Then I'd have to save up another 5 grand to get a 6spd tranny from an STi and the swap kit.

However, it'd be tempting to purchase a 96-99 Dodge Neon Coupe with a blown engine and beat body for about 500 bucks, drop in a 2.4 from a stratus, install the mopar X-hi rate springs (160 for four springs), Falken Azenis (sticky sticky sticky) tires on factory wheels, 100 for used intake, 120 for tti racing UDP pulley, about $40 for 10 cans of 'flat black' spraypaint to paint the whole car, and sell the interior on ebay for a grand total of about 3grand into a car that'll run 13s and get 1g on the skidpad. :P

If I had 5g's I would trade in my piece of crap and use that and the 5g's as a down payment on a 04 2.5RS.

Look up the 91 Subaru "Electric Yellow" a few XT6es were painted that color, and that's the color I painted my 68 GTO, looked REALLY good, bright, but not faded, and not "orangy"

60's chevy

Maybe a 69 Camaro, a 64 chevelle something like that in desent shape should be in the 5000 dollar range and will only increase in value, especially if you gradually invest a little more money in it as time goes by. Add to that the fact that parts are cheap, easy to and find, plus they are low tech and can easily be repaired by you and its not a bad investment. You just got to find someone willing to let it go.
