Im going to try an install this week anyway....
That and the rear panel maybe tomorrow \
Ill take pics of course....
Dayle-

The mirrors are quite easy to install. You will notice that there are two extra wires coming out of each mirror, and there are two extra pins on the JDM mirror switch. All you have to do is run your own wires from the switch to the mirrors. I spliced into the mirror wires on the mirror end and soldered the wires onto the switch on the switch end.

The mirrors work on a reverse polarity circuit. When the polarity is +/- the mirrors fold in. When the polarity is -/+ the mirrors fold back out.

The mirrors have built in relays that prevent the motors from burning up if you hold down the button too long. This would also make it easy to wire it to an aftermarket security system or whatever.

Another note.

You will have a difficult time adjusting the mirrors to work properly. They're set for a RHD car, so the positioning of the mirror glass isnt quite right for a LHD car. With the left mirror adjusted to the extreme right, I still need to lean into the passenger seat a little bit to see out of it. The Right mirror shouldnt give you any problems.

I worked around that by swapping out the mounting bases. They are now JDM mirrors with US bases and the alignment is perfect.

The US mounting base doesnt allow the left side JDM mirror to fold in all the way so that it is parallel to the car. (The JDM mirrors fold in a few degrees more than the USDM versions.)

Sure it does, you just need to drill a new alignment hole in the US base using the JDM base as a guide. There are little pins molded into the folding mechanism that designate LHD or RHD so that they were not mixed up in the factory.

The alignment holes are only a quarter inch or so off from RHD to LHD. If you try to switch them without drilling a new alignment hole, the base will not fit squarely to the folding mechanism, not enough to be visible to the naked eye, but enough to prevent the mirrors from folding properly.

I did install the rear Alcyone Center panel today....
bolts in and plugs in no problem, no mods needed.

End up doing the mirrors this weekend.....
