Performance MAF?

My MAF sensor recently crapped out. The Subaru dealer, who is
the only contact my mechanic goes through who has the part,
wants $368 for the part. He told me to take a look elsewhere,
and perhaps even find a performance MAF.

I've found a stock MAF for cheaper than the dealer by about 90
bucks. However, I would still like to know if anyone knows of
an aftermarket/performance MAF. Or perhaps if there was
anything one could do with the stock MAF besides mounting it
up with the resonating tube in the well, which is probably what
I'll end up doing.

I'm also thinking that sense some SVX parts and other subaru
parts match up, I could get an aftermarket MAF for a WRX and
have that work out to my advantage. I have no idea what to
look for as far as compatibility goes.

One last thing, my 92 SVX makes a clicking noise from the front
when i let off the gas, or before the car reaches a certain speed.
The clicking is proportional to the speed of the car, the faster I
go the faster the clicking goes, the slower I go, the slower it
clicks. I feel like someone shoved a giant baseball card in one
of my rims. Anyone else had this before?

Have a swell day.

you don't need a whole MAF
just the sensor

you don't need the plastic tube that the sensor goes into the sensor alone is like half the price of the entire thing 1xx dollars
